What we do

Protecting Human Rights (PHR) works to protect and fulfill the rights of women and children in Bangladesh by combating domestic violence, child marriage, dowry, sexual harassment, trafficking, and other forms of violence against women.

PHR advocates for laws that protect women, supports governments to implement them, helps women gain access to justice and supports survivors to rebuild their lives, brings about long-term, sustainable change across the country through mass awareness and educational campaigns. PHR trains and educates the capacity of boys, girls, men and women including those from networks of social workers, judges, lawyers, marriage registrars, journalists, NGOs, police, religious leaders, secondary school students, teachers, and officers of upazila administration. They help combat violence against women (VAW) at the village, union, upazila, district, division and national levels.
